Plastics in toothpaste…?

Plastic in our toothpaste…?

Do you use Crest toothpaste? have you ever noticed those shiny, blue specks? Do you know what they are?

Polyethylene is the most common plastic in the world. It is used in the making of trash cans along with many other things. It’s also in some of our TOOTHPASTES!

Polyethylene is non-biodegradable. What does this mean? It can never be broken down. Therefore, when we use Crest toothpastes that contain this plastic, it gets lodged under our gums. Our hygienists have notices these blue specks while cleaning teeth.

You be the judge – is this healthy?
